MULTAN: Urging politicians to respect armed forces, former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that Atlaf Hussain’s apology was a good step.
Speaking to media persons on Saturday, Gilani said Altaf Hussain has apologized for his remarks. “We should refrain from steps, which could demoralize the army,” Gilani stressed.
The former prime minister said that there should be rule of law in the country.
Gilani, however, said that SSP Rao Anwar shouldn’t have held the press conference. “A government employee cannot indulge himself in politics,” EX-PM commented.
Gilani said that allegations leveled by SSP Rao Anawar against MQM must be investigated.
