FC recovered explosives from Dera Bugti

QUETTA: Frontier Corps Balochistan foiled a sabotage bid and recovered explosives from Dera Bugti area of Balochistan on Tuesday.

FC spokesman said that acting on a tip-off, FC teams raided a place in village Goth Arz Muhammad (RD-238) and recovered explosives. “The recovered explosives include 15 kg ammunition, 04 detonators and 01 remote bomb antenna,” he said.

He said that the terrorists had planned to use these explosives to target the FC convoy and blow up gas pipelines. “The timely action taken by the FC personnel, the plot to carryout terrorist act has been foiled,” he added.

Meanwhile police arrested 13 people over a land dispute in Hana Orak area, on outskirts of the provincial capital.

Police said that two groups of local tribe developed a dispute over an issue of land ownership in Hana area. The police soon after receiving the information registered a case and arrested 13 persons who were shifted to police station.
