KARACHI: Federation has removed Ayyan Ali’s name from the Exit Control List on order of the Sindh High Court after a long legal battle, reported Wednesday.
The fashion model will leave for abroad tonight.
Sindh High Court had earlier ordered omission of her name from the Exit Control List on March 7. Supreme Court had also ordered authorities to remove her name from the list on April 13 however, the issue lingered on until today over different pleas.
Ayyan Ali was arrested at Benazir International Airport in March last year after over USD 500 worth of cash was seized from her bag.
Ali was allegedly travelling to United Arab Emirates through a flight of a private airline.
Customs department had launched a money laundering case against her owing to which she spent four months and four days in Rawalpindi jail before being released on bail.
