FO rejects media reports on PM’s visit to US

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesperson has rejected media reports regarding any possible deal between Pakistan and the United States during the prime minister’s visit to Washington.

In a statement, he termed speculative comments and articles in the media in this regard as an attempt to confuse the people and generate controversy.

The spokesperson said the Prime Minister firmly believes in policies directed at preserving, protecting, and promoting Pakistan’s national interests.

During the visit, Nawaz Sharif will discuss with the US leadership besides regional situation, matters relating to defence, counter-terrorism, economic, trade, education, health, and climatic change.
