Four die in bus-tanker crash near Vehari

VEHARI: At least four people were killed when a passenger bus rammed into an oil tanker in Punjab’s Vehari district.

According to rescue and police officials, the incident occurred in Tibba Sultanpur area where a bus collided head-on with an oil tanker, nearly 50 kilometres from Multan city.

At least four passengers were killed and 20 others, including women, wounded and ferried to hospitals in Vehari and Multan.

The ill-fated bus, carrying nearly 50 passengers, was heading to Vehari from Multan.

Police said thick fog in the areas triggered the accident.
