KARACHI: Federal Anti-Corruption Court Thursday confirmed bail of former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in billion-dollar TDAP scandal and nine other cases.
Gilani, who is facing corruption charges in TDAP scandal and other cases, appeared before the court along with his supporters.
The court dropped the name of former Commerce Minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim from the case following his demise last month.
The court confirmed bail of the former premier and adjourned the hearing till December 28.
Later talking to media, Gilani severely criticized National Accountability Bureau, saying it should send apology for serving him five-year imprisonment in a case he was later acquitted.
“NAB sentenced me for five-year imprisonment in a case I was later acquitted and became prime minister. Did the NAB offer apology for its conduct instead, they still send me notices,” Gilani said.
Over Karachi law and order situation, the former PM said his party wants to bring peace in the city, adding that his party had launched military operation in Malakand and South Waziristan.
“We will continue to support military operation for elimination of terrorism”, he said.
