KARACHI: Governor House has rejected the reports of resignation of Dr Ishratul Ibad and said no body has asked for it yet, NewsOne reported.
The statement further said that report of one month ultimatum has no substance as there was no question of resignation.
Earlier its was reported that the federal government has started consultation on Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad`s replacement.
According to sources, two names are being reviewed for post but the government will take final decision after consultation with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
Sources revealed that the government had decided to remove Governor Ishratul Ibad after Saulat Mirza’s confession, however, the process was halted due to Safoora Chowrangi incident.
It is highly likely that Ishratul Ibad might forward his resignation to the federal government after his daughter`s marriage.
