ISLAMABAD: Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Friday, CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah talked about his newly appointed role and said that serving the public is his foremost priority.

Speaking to the media after meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif earlier today, CM Sindh said that he will try to put right any wrongs done so far.

“I have been chosen by the people of Sindh,” said Murad Ali Shah, who replaced octogenarian Qaim Ali Shah a week ago.

The CM said that it was former Prime Minister Shaheed Benazir Bhutto who convinced him to venture into politics, adding that she would have been happy to see him as CM had she been alive.

He also said that encouragement from the media has made him more confident.

“I won’t speak, my work will speak for me,” CM said, adding that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif assured him of his utmost cooperation when he met him today.

CM Murad stressed that he will work to eradicate the evil of corruption.

Talking about provincial rights, he said there will be no compromise on Sindh rights.
