KARACHI: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan is due in Karachi on Friday where he will condole with the family of renowned qawwal Amjad Sabri and will inquire about the health of prominent social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi.
PTI Chairman Khan will arrive in Karachi on 05.00 pm local time. The Tehreek-e-Insaf chief will visit Edhi and Sabri’s family at 08.00 pm and 09.00 pm respectively, according to the schedule announced by the party.
It should be noted that the renowned qawwal Amjad Sabri, aged around 45, was travelling by car from his home to a television studio on 22nd June, when a motorcycle pulled up alongside the vehicle and the attackers opened fire.
Sabri was hit by five bullets and was declared dead at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Ailing head of Edhi Foundation, Abdul Sattar Edhi has long been suffering from the disease of kidneys.
The social worker has refused to travel abroad for treatment and has been under treatment of Dr. Adeeb Rizvi’s kidney hospital in Karachi.
The PTI chief is also scheduled to attend an Iftar party at a local hotel as well. Imran Khan will stay at the residence of Tariq Shafi in Karachi and will leave for Islamabad after having his pre-dawn meal (Sehri).
