ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan, Mehdi Hunerdost called on Minister for Interior, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan here on Thursday and discussed matters of mutual interest.
During the meeting, strengthening of bilateral ties and cooperations in different areas also came under discussion.
Talking to the Ambassador, the Minister called for need of joint efforts against those elements, trying to disrupt peace and causing instability in the region.
He said taking advantage of favourable atmosphere prevailed as a result of high level bilateral visits, there was a need to further expedite efforts on all resolvable issues.
The Minister said to implement already settled matters between the two countries within timeframe, there is a need to regularly review the set targets.
Nisar said there is also need to further improve mechanism between the two countries introduced to control organize crime, human smuggling, security of borders and timely information sharing.
