Joint efforts needed to promote tourism: Info Minister

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has stressed the need for joint efforts by the federal and provincial governments to promote tourism in the country.

Addressing a function in connection with World Tourism Day in Rawalpindi today, he said under the 18th constitution amendment the subject of tourism has been transferred to the federating units.

The Minister said provincial governments should play their role to promote tourism in the country.

He said we have rendered great sacrifices for peace in the country and Pakistan of 2018 will be much better than the Pakistan of 2013.

The Minister said development of communication infrastructure including metro bus service is helping in promotion of tourism.

He said the Government is also focusing on basic communication infrastructure development for connecting every part of the country with each other.
