KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Tuesday held protests at various places in Karachi. Hundreds of workers protested on this occasion and also demanded rights for the district government.
According to details, the protests were held at Liaquatabad, Numaesh Chorangi, Five Star Chorangi, Star Gate, Dou Talwaar and various other points in the city.
The protests were attended by Farooq Sattar, nominated mayor Waseem Akhtar, Nasreen Jalil and other leaders.
Farooq Sattar and Waseem Akhtar said on this occasion that peaceful protests were held on footpaths and Chorangis to make sure the flow of the traffic is not disturbed.
They said that sit-ins may also be held if rights not given to district governments.
