KARACHI: Leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q), Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, arrived in Karachi on Friday and held meeting with PML-F (Functional) chief Pir Pagara Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi at his residence.

According to sources, the two leaders discussed ways to unite the opposition under one banner and form its grand alliance.

Sources said the political leaders also exchanged views over merger of all factions of the Muslim League under one leadership ahead of the local body polls.

Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, while speaking to reporters at Karachi airport, said he condoled with disgruntled PPP leader Zulfiqar Mirza over his father’s death.

Reports said the PML-Q chief is also likely to meet General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, the leader of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) to discuss political affairs.
