KARACHI: Sindh’s newly-appointed Information Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Thursday asked Imran Khan to apologize to the nation.

Commenting on a report of the Judicial Commission during a media talk, Khuhro said that after the commission’s report PTI chief should tender an apology.

He said that Khan wasted precious time of the nation during his 126-day sit-in in Islamabad last year.

Khuhro further said that Chinese President’s visit to Pakistan was also postponed due to the protest, adding the sit-in created a lot of problems for the country.

The commission submitted its report to the government last night while media reports suggested that the commission rejected allegations of organized rigging during May 2013 general elections.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to address the nation later this evening on findings of the report.
