ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah on Thursday remarked that the government should show patience on the issue of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) parliamentarians’ resignations and not to make haste on the matter.
Addressing the National Assembly, Khurshid Shah said advised that the government should hold negotiations with the MQM to address their reservations.
He said the MQM should not be allowed to leave the Parliament as their presence in the House is vital for strengthening of democracy and the country’s system.
Khurshid Shah urged the MQM members to withdraw their resignations.
Lashing out at the government over absence of PML-N lawmakers in the House, Shah said the government is non-serious and the ministers are not focusing on real issue.
He warned that the State Bank amendment bill cannot be passed if PPP walked out of the assembly.
