Kite wire injures one in Gujranwala, DSP, SHO suspended

GUJRANWALA: A citizen by the name of Imran got badly injured after making contact with the wire of a loose kite.

Local administration has not been able to make the ongoing ban on kite flying fully effective enough as residents of many areas of the city, including Sabzi Mandi, Kotwali, Girja Ghar, Model Town, Satellite Town and Baghban Purra police station’s vicinty, were atop their roofs with children and were openly neglecting the law and section-144 by flying kites.

After the incident, Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shahbaz Sharif terminated Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) and Station Head Officer (SHO) of Satellite Town area.
