Media Monitoring Center established in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervez Rasheed has said the establishment of Media Monitoring and Tracking Center in the country is need of the hour to improve the governance system.

Addressing after inaugurating the Centre in the federal capital on Tuesday, the minister said the newly-established center will play important role in implementation of media code of conduct.

The center is equipped with modern gadgets that would monitor 80 channels.

Pervez Rasheed said, the Media Monitoring and Tracking Center would help to keep contact between the government and the media. He added the reports of the media-monitoring centre would facilitate the ministries to judge and improve their performance.
