Moon Garden case: SHC terms police report ‘unsatisfactory’

KARACHI: While hearing the Moon Garden case, a two-member Sindh High Court (SHC) bench comprising Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Junaid Ghafar rejected the police report, terming it ‘unsatisfactory.’

IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali and Additional IG Karachi Police Mushtaq Mehar were also present in today’s hearing.

The report submitted by police states that 70 out of 180 flats were already empty whereas 27 flats were evacuated on the court order.

Meanwhile, the bench termed the report unsatisfactory and directed the concerned authorities to submit a detailed report within a week.

The court also rejected residents’ plea to become party to the case and also lifted the interim stay.

Moreover, the SHC accepted IG Sindh and Additional IG Police’s exemption pleas from appearance in the case.
