KARACHI: A three member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) called on Karachi Corps Commander Lt-Gen Naveed Mukhtar on Wednesday.
The meeting comes a day after Aftab Ahmed Hussain, coordinator to Dr Farooq Sattar, was killed in Rangers’ custody without 48 hours after his arrest.
MQM accused Rangers of extra-judicial killing of Hussain and declared a day of mourning.
Taking notice of the incident, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif ordered an inquiry to find the truth. He directed to ensure that justice must be done.
Separately, Rangers suspended unnamed personnel and set up a committee.
The delegation comprising Farooq Sattar, Nasreen Jalil and Kanwar Naveed met with the corps commander and expressed concern over killing of Aftah Ahmed and missing workers.
