MQM expresses concern over Farooq Sattar’s safety

KARACHI: The Rabita Committee of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has expressed serious concern over the security of party leader Dr Farooq Sattar.

The MQM states that according to reliable sources, Farooq Sattar faces life threats from terrorist organisations, particularly terrorists’ involved in the Lyari gang war. According to the MQM plans are being made to attack Farooq Sattar.

The MQM has informed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, CM Sindh, DG Rangers, IGP Sindh and other officials of threats faced by Farooq Sattar.

In its request the MQM says that security deployed at Sattar’s residence is not satisfactory and he should immediately be provided adequate security.
