KARACHI: Muttahid Qaumi Movement leader Rashid Godil suffered three bullet wounds after unidentified armed men opened fire at his vehicle in Karachi’s Bahadurabad area.
Police sources said that unidentified motorcycle-riding armed men opened fire at Godil’s vehicle and escaped from the spot.
Police and rescue teams reached the attack site.
The MQM leader was shifted to a nearby hospital where his condition was stated as critical. Hospital sources said that Godil’s driver, who was also injured in the incident, succumbed to his wounds during treatment.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah took notice of the incident and sought an immediate report from IG Sindh Police.
