Naltar chopper crash was due to technical fault: Air Chief

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman says the helicopter that met accident in Naltar went out of control before landing due to a technical fault.

Talking to the government news channel here today, he said the real causes of the accident could be ascertained after investigation.

He said the base commander himself was observing landing of the helicopter.

The Air Chief said MI-17 helicopter was on a routine flight, and the pilots had excellent professional skills.

He said the international community has expressed solidarity with Pakistan over Naltar tragedy.
