WASHINGTON: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with US Vice President Joe Biden in Washington on Thursday.
Both the leaders discussed bilateral ties and matters of mutual understanding.
The Prime Minister informed Joe Biden about his government’s priorities and polices.
PM also apprised the US Vice President about government’s economic reforms. The premier added Pakistan has made remarkable economic progress in last two years.
Political matters and security issues and regional situation also came under discussion. The two leaders also discussed war on terror and Pak-US relations. They expressed the resolve for peace and prosperity in the region.
During the meeting, Pak-US cooperation in various sectors was also discussed. They vowed to further strengthen Pak-US cooperation. They agreed to carry forward the peace and reconciliation process in Afghanistan.
Joe Biden appreciated Pakistan’s role in war against terrorism. He said the United States will continue its cooperation with Pakistan unless objectives are achieved.
