ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif discussed several vital issues including leaked news report with Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Thursday morning.
It should be mentioned here that PM Sharif arrived Thursday morning at PAF Nur Khan Airbase to fly to Azerbaijan.
Before flying off on his first ever visit to Azerbaijan, he called the interior minister and broached the issue of news report published in a daily English newspaper.
The federal minister apprised him of the progress over inquiry into the leaked report and said the probe will be completed by the time he (Prime Minister) comes back home.
The top leaders also discussed the security issues and expressed satisfaction over law and order situation in the country.
PM Sharif said Youm-e-Ashur passed peacefully mainly owing to the government’s security measures, asserting the security agencies performed their duties in good manner.
The Prime Minister is leaving for Azerbaijan today for a three-day visit on the invitation of President Ilham Aliyev.
He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation.
