QUETTA: A new cabinet of Balochistan was sworn in at a ceremony in Quetta here on Tuesday.
The oath-taking ceremony was held at Governor House in the provincial capital where new members were administered oath.
Those who took oath include four members of the National Party, four of Pashtunkhwa Milli Party, three of PML-N and one from PML-Q.
The new ministers are: Changeez Marri, Sarfraz Bugti, Sarfraz Domki, Abdul Rahim, Hamid Achakzai, Mustafa Tarin, Nawab Ayaz Jogzai, Muhammad Khan Shehwani, Rehmat Baloch, Sardar Aslam Bizenjo and Mujeeb ur Rehman.
Jafar Mandokhel of PML-Q was also sworn in as member of Balochistan’s cabinet.
Meanwhile, differences emerged within the PML-Q over reappointment of Jafar Mandokhel as the provincial minister.
PML-Q leader Karim Nosherwani said that any other member of the party should have been made a minister as Mandokhel had already served under Dr Abdul Malik government.
Meanwhile, Abdul Qudoos, who was named as PML-Q’s parliamentary leader in Balochistan Assembly, said that Mandokhel got his name inducted in the cabinet without consultation.
It is reminded here that the previous cabinet was dissolved under power-sharing formula between the PML-N and National Party in Murree after 2013 elections.
