ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has asked NADRA to prepare a roadmap within 48 hours to launch a National Plan for Re-verification of Computerized National Identity Cards across the country on Wednesday.
The re-verification roadmap has been ordered after questions were raised over a Pakistani passport and CNIC found from the drone hit car wreckage site in Balochistan.
It was claimed to be documents held by a Taliban leader Mullah Mansoor.
Chairing a meeting at NADRA Headquarters in Islamabad on Wednesday, the interior Minister said a message has gone to the world that Pakistan’s CNIC can be used by anyone.
This is against our strategic, security and national interest.
