KARACHI: Students in Karachi’s Khokhrapar area on Monday protested against turning their school into Executive District Officer (EDO) office ahead of Sindh Education Minister Nisar Khuhro’s visit.
According to details, the school was shut down for the past 20 years and was to reopen for which the Education Minister was invited.
Students reached the school before the minister and staged a protest and chanted slogans against the authorities on which Director Schools took notice of the establishment of EDO office inside the institution.
He assured the protesting students that their school will be reopened and the office will be shifted to another place.
Nisar Khuhro also directed to remove the office from the school after the news was broadcast on Dunya News. He said that the federation didn t fulfilled their promises to assist in the development projects in Sindh.
