KARACHI: Terming demand of resignation as illegal, Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Pakistan leader Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan said not a single member of Sindh Assembly decided to tender resignation.
Talking to media, the Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly said demand of resignations, no matter who demands, is illegal and unconstitutional, adding, “No MQM lawmaker will resign to satisfy any individual’s wishes as our membership is a public trust.”
“We will not resign from assemblies on a mere political call,” he asserted.
Clarifying the rumors over resignation reports, the MQM leader said, “We have support of complete number of our 50 members. Of them, 11 are abroad, who will soon join us after homecoming.”
Sufyan Yousuf’s resignation has not been received as yet, he added while responding to a query.
