KARACHI: Police sprung to action a day after Chief Justice Sindh High Court Sajjad Ali Shah’s son Owais Ali Shah went missing.
The task of recovering Owais has been handed to Special Security Unit (SSU). Police has so far recorded statements of two eye witnesses.
According to eye witnesses, Owais was taken away by men in white shalwar qameez. They said he resisted kidnapping and fought with the alleged abductors.
Police has collected evidence through CCTV footage. The kidnappers were last seen going towards Baloch Colony from Shaheed-e-Millat Road, police said.
Police has carried out search operations in various parts of the city. Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah late on Monday ordered the concerned authorities to block the whole city to recover the son of Sindh High Court’s Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, who had gone missing since afternoon.
