ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned the suicide bombing during Friday prayers at a mosque in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia , which resulted in loss of four lives and injuries to 18 others.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Office Foreign Office Spokesman said: “We extend our heartfelt condolences to the brotherly people and the government of Saudi Arabia and pray for the recovery of those injured in this terrorist incident.
Four people were killed and 18 wounded on Friday when a suicide bomber attacked a mosque in eastern Saudi Arabia. The Al-Ekhbariya news channel quoted an interior ministry spokesman as giving the death toll.
Residents said the mosque belonged to the minority Shiite community. In a written statement, the ministry said security personnel prevented two bombers from getting inside the Al-Rida mosque in the Mahasen neighbourhood of Al-Ahsa city during the main weekly prayers.
