ISLAMABAD: In reply to the petitions seeking his disqualification in Panama Leaks case, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has asked the Election Commission of Pakistan to dismiss all the applications as it lacks powers to hear the petitions.

Attorney General Salman Aslam Butt submitted the reply on behalf of the prime minister. The plea rejected all the allegations terming them false and unfounded.

On the occasion, Hamid Khan, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf counsel, said that “we haven’t challenged the ECP’s jurisdiction we are ready to face it”.

PTI spokesman Naeem ul Haq said that government’s attitude on Panama Leaks clearly shows that ruling the party does not want to fight the case and applying delaying tactics.

Replying to PTI’s allegations, PML-N leader Daniyal Aziz remarked that Imran Khan is resorting to lies as there were no proofs of any crime committed by the prime minister.
The ECP adjourned the hearing till 2nd November.
