ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has directed for early completion of western route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor project.
Chairing a meeting here on Tuesday, to review progress on infrastructure projects, PM said land acquisition process should be started for the western route for which the funds have already been allocated in the annual development plan.
The premier also directed for close coordination with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan governments for fast tracking land acquisition process.
Nawaz Sharif added the government has made unprecedented investment in infrastructure projects in Balochistan. It is for the first time that hundred percent PSDP funds have been released by the federal government to Balochistan.
The Prime Minister emphasized for speedy development of the infrastructure projects along with strict adherence to all the applicable procurement guidelines.
Nawaz Sharif said that the speedy implementation of the projects shall not compromise by the transparency standards. He said that the projects must be completed within stipulated time.
