PM Nawaz directs no fee hike by private schools

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Sunday directed that there would be no raise in the tuition fees of private schools for the year 2015.

A statement from the PM House said the Prime Minister has directed Ministry of Education and Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) to implement this decision during 2015 in true letter and spirit.

The Prime Minister has also directed Ministry of Education and CADD to hold consultative meetings with all stakeholders to devise a unanimously accepted policy of fee raise in private schools.

He directed the concerned authorities to come up with proposed legislation to regulate the private schools, to keep a check on profiteering.
