PM Nawaz escapes unharmed as motorcade comes under attack

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family remained safe in an alleged attack in which a car rammed into his convoy as he was returning to Islamabad from Murree.

According to sources, a number of vehicles forming PM Nawaz Sharif’s convoy came under an attack when a car drove right into his moving motorcade.

The security detail present in the PM’s convoy immediately sprang to action and took the driver and his car into custody. The number plate of the car was declared as fake.

A bomb disposal squad has also been engaged to check if the car was carrying any explosives.

PM Nawaz’s wife Kulsoom and daughter Maryam were also in the convoy.

The PM along with his family have reached their house safe and sound.
