PM, represents Pakistan at Oslo Summit

OSLO: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says his government is determined to improve the quality of education, enhance gender equality and provide increased learning opportunities for both male and female students.

The Prime Minister said this during his meeting with former British Premier Gordon brown.

The Prime Minister congratulated Mr. Brown on being a major driving force behind the OSLO summit.

He said, Pakistan fully shares vision of OSLO summit to reach out to fifty eight million children being denied their right to education.

The pm said, Pakistan is also committed to improving quality of education for those who attend school.

He said, he is a strong believer that education of youth is the only way forward for Scio-economic progress of our future generations.

He said, eradicating illiteracy is essential for promotion of peace, tolerance and harmony in any society.

Gordon brown extended condolences on the tragic army school incident and appreciated the decisions taken by the government in its aftermath.
