Polling underway in Attock’s PP-16

ATTOCK: The polling Tuesday began for by-election in PP-16, which fell vacant after martyrdom of Punjab Home Ministe Col. (retd) Shuja Khanzada.

The voting in the constituency, will continue till 5pm without any interruption.

Jahangir Khanzada, son of Shaheed Shuja Khanzada, is contesting the by-elections on PML-N ticket, as all political parties have decided in unison not to field their candidates against Khanzada.

But, PPP’s district general secretary . Dr. Naeem Awan decided to stand as a private candidate from PP-16 constituency.

Khanzada cast his vote in Shadi Khan polling station.

There is a total number of 206,669 registered voters in the Punjab Assembly’s constituency. At least 137 polling stations have been designated for the polling.
