PPP doesn’t support extension in Army chief tenure: Aitzaz Ahsan

LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan has said that PPP is against extension in Army Chief’s services, while he urged Federation to avoid unnecessary interference.

Talking to media in Lahore High Court, PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan said that Army Chief Raheel Sharif, services to the nation would be remembered in golden words in the history, adding that he had taken courageous steps which were necessary in the national interest.

He, while commenting on PML (N) government, said that apparently it seemed that Nawaz Sharif government would not complete his tenure, adding that Nawaz strategy was not reflecting public interest. He further said that Nawaz Sharif faces losses through his mistakes.

Aitzaz Ahsan further said that Pakistan India relations must not distort at any cost. Pakistani civil or Military government is not involved in any terrorism.

Aitzaz Ahsan said that PPP has nothing to do with terrorism. He said that if Dr. Asim is involved in corruption then action should be taken against him.
