PPP wins PK-8 by-election

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) suffered a major blow in Peshawar as PPP stood victorious in the by-election of PK-8 on Thursday.

According to unofficial results, Malik Tahmash Khan of the PPP bagged 9682 votes and was declared winner.

The ruling PTI stood last in the election race with PML-N and JUI-F taking second and third spot respectively.

The PTI’s defeat comes despite the fact Chairman Imran Khan addressed his supporters in Peshawar on Monday.
