ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that his party will table a resolution against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain s anti-army statements in the National Assembly.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the responsibility lies on UK Government too with reference to Altaf Hussain s remarks.
“The British Government should take notice of Altaf Hussain s statements,” he added.
He said the resolution will be presented by Shireen Mazari.
Last week, Altaf Hussain had severely criticized the national security institutions while addressing MQM workers from London.
The controversial speech drew sharp reaction from all quarters including the top brass of the Pakistan Army.
Resolutions against Hussain s remarks have already been adopted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab assemblies whereas Sindh Assembly Speaker has disallowed resolution against the MQM chairman.
