KARACHI: The Rangers Sunday said they arrested 356 people across Sindh for violating code of conduct regarding collection of sacrificial animals’ hides.

In a statement issued here, the Rangers spokesman said 18,037 hides were seized in the operation on Eid days.

Yesterday, Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF), a charitable organization which operates under Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), closed its operation of hides collection.

Addressing a press conference, MQM leader Dr. Farooq Sattar said that the decision has been taken in a protest against what he called hindrance created by the Rangers on Eid.

The MQM leader said that the KKF volunteers didn’t collect any hide forcibly.

He said that the people voluntarily donated hides of sacrificial animals to KKF across the Sindh for which the charitable organization is thankful to them.
