KARACHI: Police and paramilitary Rangers on Friday arrested at least eight people in Karachi for ‘forcible’ collection of hides of sacrificial animals.

According to sources, Rangers and police, while patrolling in different areas of the city, rounded up at least eight persons and impounded 150 hides which the law-enforcers said were ‘forcibly’ collected from people.

It was not clear whether those arrested were associated with any political or religious group.
