Rangers kill gangster in ‘encounter’ in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers killed a suspect during an alleged encounter in Karachi’s Kalakot locality in the wee hours of Saturday.

According to details, two accomplices of the suspect managed to escape during the Rangers’ ‘encounter’.

Meanwhile Karachi police arrested nine suspects from the city’s Eidgah colony and Saddar areas.

Police conducted an operation in the city’s Empress Market area, during which an exchange of fire took place between the law enforcement agency and the suspects.

Four suspects were arrested by police, out of which two were apprehended in wounded condition.

According to the police, the suspects had broken into shops and looted them four days ago.

On the other hand, Eidgah colony police conducted an operation at Aurangzeb Market and arrested five drug dealers.

Drugs were also obtained from the arrested suspects.
