Rangers officials leave for New Delhi for bi-annual talks

RAWALPINDI: A 16-member delegation, comprising members from Pakistan Rangers Punjab and Sindh, Ministry of Interior, Survey of Pakistan and Anti Narcotics Force, headed by Major General Umar Farooq Burki, Director General Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Wednesday left from Wahga Border for routine Bi-Annual talks with Border Security Force (BSF) at New Delhi.

According to Pakistan Rangers, Punjab, these talks are held alternatively in India and Pakistan.

Both border guarding forces will discuss professional matters related to border management.

In order to avoid losses to innocent civilian lives and properties the delegation will discuss issues pertaining to unprovoked ceasefire violations, smuggling and safe/early return of inadvertent border crossers.

These talks will be held at New Delhi from 9 to 12 September.
