Ready for unconditional talks with India: Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office Spokesperson Qazi Khalilullah has once again said that Pakistan is ready for talks with India but would not accept any preconditions.

During a weekly press briefing in Islamabad, the spokesperson made it clear that any talks with New Delhi will include the Kashmir dispute.

He pointed out that there are United Nations resolutions on the disputed region of Kashmir.

He said Pakistan wants peaceful resolution of this dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions and the aspirations of Kashmiri people.

Qazi Khalilullah said Pak-India meeting in New York is not under consideration.

To a question, the FO spokesperson rejected reports of Maj. Gen Athar Abbas appointment as Pakistan High Commissioner to UK. He also strongly condemned the attacks on journalists in Karachi.
