KARACHI: Former interior minister and senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Rehman Malik on Thursday rejected the allegations leveled by the former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal, terming them “beyond comprehension”.
Talking to media, Malik said that he condemned Kamal’s accusations, adding that he would give a reply to the press conference of the ex-Karachi mayor after returning to country.
“One can only laugh at the claims made by Mustafa Kamal,” the former interior minister said while replying to a question.
To another query, he said that he held meetings with MQM leadership in the best interest of the Sindh province.
Earlier, Kamal had claimed that MQM leaders used to brief Rehman Malik all the issues regarding London Metropolitan Police interrogation with the party leaders in connection with Dr Imran Farooq murder case.
He further claimed that Rehman Malik used to dictate MQM the press release they should issue on different issues.
