Sanaullah announces to launch anti-terrorist operation in South Punjab

LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to launch operation against terrorists and criminals in tribal areas of southern Punjab districts bordering Balochistan and Sindh.


According to Rana Sanaullah, the operation would be conducted by counter terrorism department (CTD) and Elite police, while the Rangers and army could be called in whenever needed.

The provincial minister said that the Sindh and Balochistan police would also be taken into confidence as the criminals and terrorists take shelter in mountainous areas of Balochistan.

Sanaullah said that the operation would be conducted in Rajanpur, and DG Khan districts of Punjab.
