KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) head Dr Farooq Sattar on Wednesday turned down the statement of London meeting, saying that there would be no change in party’s policy in the country.
His remarks came shortly after MQM London leadership said it has dissolved Rabita Committee and organization setup.
“Whatever is being said or done in London will not affect our stance we took following August 22 incident,” Sattar said.
“MQM is a peaceful political party and our stance cannot be evaporated in air,” he said, saying that MQM workers should be allowed to work freely and independently.
“We have taken all the steps to save the party’s long struggle. There is no confusion in our ranks,” Farooq Sattar added.
To a question, he said that MQM had won the elections by chanting Long Live Pakistan.
