Security forces recover huge cache of weapons, bombs in Loralai

QUETTA: Frontier Corps (FC) and intelligence personnel have recovered heavy weapons and bombs during raid at militant hideouts in Balochistan’s Loralai district on Friday morning.

According to FC spokesperson, thirteen rocket launchers, one anti-tank mine, ten anti-personnel mines, eleven fuses, nineteen detonators, several LMG rounds, two binoculars and solar panels were recovered during raids at militant hideouts in Khost and adjoining areas in Loralai district.

However, no arrest has been made during the action.

Vast and sparsely populated but rich in resources, Balochistan province has remained under the grip of violence for over a decade which has claimed thousands of lives.

Law enforcement agencies are on high alert to avert any untoward incident on the occasion of Muharram-ul-Haram. Hundreds of suspects have been rounded up during raids across the country.
