SANGHAR: At least seven people were killed and seven sustained injuries in a collision between coach and van on Monday.
The coach en route to Tando Adam from Sanghar and the fishermen van coming to Sanghar from Sajawal crashed into each other near Shah Baig Murree.
Seven people who died on the spot have been identified as Zahra, Somar, Hawa, Umer, Jaman and Nasreen whereas one body is yet to be recognized.
The injured were shifted to Hyderabad.
Coach driver escaped from the scene after the accident. The fishermen community was going to Sanghar for labour.
Poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving are cited as common reasons behind accidents in Pakistan. More than 4,600 people were killed in road traffic accidents in 2013, which is the last year the government released official data on the matter.
