Sindh CM steps forward to reduce tensions amid Rangers, Home Minister

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah on Saturday held a meeting to discuss the raid conducted by security forces in Larkana along with tensions persisting between Rangers and Sindh Home Minister Suhail Anwar Sial’s brother Tariq Sial.

Rangers (Sindh) Director General (DG) Major General Bilal Akbar gave briefing to the CM over the raid conducted in Larkana. General Bilal stated that the security forces conducted raid in order to apprehend culprit named Asad Kharal, further stating that Tariq Sial placed hurdles in the process.

DG Rangers stated that Kharal was the main culprit of the entire incident, further adding that Kharal was wanted in a number of cases. He added that culprits behind the entire incident shall be presented in the court after they get arrested.

Sindh CM stated that the Rangers operation shall not be affected as a result of the incident and assured Sindh government’s utmost cooperation for the apprehension of the culprits.

Suhail Anwar Sial finds himself in a difficult position after the events taking place in Larkana whereas Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership was also considering to replace Sindh Home Minister.
